Our research teams have been trying out different ways to position iPads for flexible use in the classroom. Where most people use a protective iPad case with integral stand, some of our researchers have also been working effectively with different size tripods. They’re not essential to using the VEO app, but may allow for more flexibility when used as part of a peer observation, work with students, or self-recording followed by retrospective tagging. The gooseneck clamp is an inexpensive alternative, allowing the iPad to be secured to a shelf or table, with the flexibility of the neck for positioning and repositioning during use.
